Introducing OM-Connect – an elegant and simple theme built for the Ourmarae.com platform and standing on the shoulders of these giants:
- Flair Starter Theme: A starter theme with Foundation 5 at its heart. Supporting many of the Foundation 5 features and styling, choose what you want to use and don’t use the rest – it’s up to you!
- Chassis WordPress Virtual Environment: Clone, vagrant up, GO! Vagrant is the lightest and most extensible way to develop locally.
- Connect Theme by Organic Themes : Forming the styling base for the OM-Connect theme, Organic Themes have a premium version with tonnes more functionality, if you need it
Backstory
OM-Connect was built for the Ourmarae.com platform, which helps get New Zealand marae sites online with the power of WordPress as the web publishing platform.
The Ourmarae.com platform requires themes to be easy to customise, offer a limited range of extensibility and be compatible with some common plugins. As Ourmarae.com is a platform built for open-sourcing, it was decided to offer this theme to the WordPress community.
